About Jack Waissen
Originally from Basingstoke, England, Jack Waissen relocated to the United States on a tennis scholarship at N.C. Central University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a double major in political science and criminal justice. During his undergraduate years, Jack captained the men's varsity tennis team and participated in the men's varsity golf team. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach for the women's varsity tennis team for one year.
After completing his undergraduate studies, Jack received a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Alabama School of Law, where he graduated in 2016. While in law school, he worked as a research assistant for several professors, held the position of articles editor for The Journal of the Legal Profession, and volunteered at Raise the Bar, a mentoring program for sixth graders.
Jack gained practical legal experience through internships with Durham attorney James E. Rogers and as a summer associate at Alabama law firms, including Engel, Hairston & Johanson; Boardman, Carr, Bennett, Watkins, Hill & Gamble; Fischer and Associates; and Espy, Nettles, & Scogin. His work encompassed wrongful death, personal injury, insurance defense, and corporate litigation.
