Kimberly H. Whitley

Kimberly H. Whitley leads her firm as the Managing Partner, focusing her expertise on Business and Corporate Law, Estate Planning and Administration, and Elder and Special Needs Law. She holds the distinction of being a Board Certified Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law.

Ms. Whitley earned her undergraduate degree, a B.A., with Honors and Distinction in 1990, and her law degree, a J.D., with High Honors in 1993, both from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her undergraduate studies, she was recognized as a John M. Morehead Scholar, National Merit Scholar, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Her law school years saw her contributing as a Staff Member and later as the Notes and Comments Editor for the North Carolina Law Review. She was also inducted into the Order of the Coif.

After completing her legal education, Ms. Whitley clerked for The Honorable Judge Clyde H. Hamilton at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In 2009, she was appointed by the Catawba County Commissioners to the Aging Leadership Planning Team, focusing on making Catawba County a more senior-friendly community.

Residing in Hickory, North Carolina, Ms. Whitley shares her life with her husband, David, and their son, Colson.
