John T. Briggs

John T. Briggs began his distinguished legal career as a Lieutenant in the Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps. After completing his training at the Naval Justice School in 1991, he served aboard the Guided Missile Cruiser USS CHOSIN in Hawaii before taking up his permanent post at the Naval Legal Service Office in Yokosuka, Japan. During his three-year tenure as a Navy defense attorney, John passionately defended the wrongly accused, sharpening his advocacy skills.

Currently, John is the managing attorney at the Kellum Law Firm, which operates 10 offices across North Carolina. He skillfully balances the responsibilities of managing the firm with a full caseload, focusing on personal injury, wrongful death, workers' compensation, and social security disability.
