Steven Matthew Laird

Steven Matthew Laird has been a licensed attorney in North Carolina since August 2009, focusing on criminal and traffic litigation. He adeptly handles cases involving Class B1 and lower felonies, misdemeanors, DWIs, probation violations, and various traffic offenses.

Mr. Laird is well-versed in court-appointed work across Onslow and Pender Counties, managing Class B1 and lower felony cases, misdemeanors, DWIs, probation violations, juvenile delinquency, domestic violence cases, and misdemeanor appeals. His practice extends to Onslow, Pender, and Jones Counties.

Before his legal career, Mr. Laird earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, double majoring in Political Science and Psychology, and receiving a BA in 2006. He then attended the Campbell University-Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, joining Phi Alpha Delta and obtaining his Juris Doctorate in May 2009. Mr. Laird successfully passed the North Carolina Bar Exam in July 2009 and is a member of the 4th District Judicial Bar.
