Stephen Koehler

Stephen David Koehler is a distinguished attorney with a focus on business and tort litigation. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in English and Computer Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1987 and obtained his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1991. After managing his own firm for over a decade, Mr. Koehler joined the firm in 2012.

Mr. Koehler is admitted to practice in the State Courts of North Carolina, as well as the Middle and Western United States District Courts of North Carolina. His extensive legal experience encompasses a wide range of cases, including General Civil Litigation, Contract Disputes, Construction Law, Collections, and Commercial Landlord-Tenant conflicts. He also has expertise in Appellate Practice, Employment Law, Wage and Hour Act disputes, Trade Secret and Non-Compete issues, Consumer Fraud, Personal Injury, Condemnation, Zoning Disputes, Products Liability, Criminal Defense, Automobile Negligence, Premises Liability, and Workers Compensation.

An accomplished trial attorney, Mr. Koehler tried and won four jury verdicts in 2011. He has also successfully argued landmark cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Industrial Commission.

Mr. Koehler actively participates in professional organizations, including the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, The North Carolina Bar Association, the Mecklenburg Bar, and the North Carolina State Bar. Outside of his legal practice, he serves as a sports official for high school and college football, lacrosse, and volleyball games. Residing in Waxhaw, North Carolina, he enjoys family life with his wife of 29 years and their three sons.
