Alexa Whiteside

Alexa Whiteside leads WAM Entertainment Law, offering specialized legal services to creatives across film, television, literary publishing, and digital media. With over 15 years in the entertainment industry, she is licensed in California, New York, and North Carolina, focusing on helping content creators bring their stories to life.

Her career began in New York City, where she gained hands-on experience as an independent producer, unit production manager, and casting associate. This practical background, developed during and after her studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, enriched her understanding of film and television production's complexities.

Transitioning to law, Alexa worked at the Beverly Hills-based boutique firm, Ramo Law PC. She advised clients across media sectors, including film, TV, live events, and podcasts, from financing through distribution. Her legal acumen expanded further as Vice President of Business Affairs at Hearst Media Production Group, where she managed legal aspects of a content library exceeding 4,500 children's programming episodes.

Alexa's leadership extended to implementing rights management software and standardizing copyright processes. Her dedication to the legal field is matched by her active participation in professional organizations. She is Co-Chair of the Pro Bono Committee for the North Carolina Bar Foundation and a former chair of the Sports and Entertainment Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, reflecting her commitment to both the arts and legal communities.
