WM Dane DeKrey

Before founding his own criminal defense practice, WM Dane DeKrey served as a Federal Public Defender in Fargo, North Dakota. During this time, he adeptly handled more than 450 cases, focusing on allegations such as drug possession and distribution, illegal firearm possession, noncitizen illegal reentry, child sexual abuse imagery, and supervised release violations. His expertise also extends to cases from the Turtle Mountain and Spirit Lake Dakota Reservations, dealing with serious charges including alleged murder, manslaughter, sexual assault, assault, and arson.

Prior to his public defender role, Mr. DeKrey spent three years at a prestigious class action law firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he represented individuals against large corporations. He maintains a collaborative relationship with this firm and others, particularly in civil rights and consumer protection cases.

WM Dane DeKrey is an honors graduate from both the University of North Dakota and the University of Minnesota Law School, underscoring his academic excellence and dedication to the legal profession.
