Eric Skidmore

Eric Skidmore has been serving families in Northeast Ohio with a focus on divorce and family law since 1989. Born and raised in Akron, Ohio, Eric began his legal journey working at his father Archie W. Skidmore's law firm in the 1970s.

Eric pursued his education by obtaining undergraduate, graduate, and law degrees, while spending his summers clerking at his father's firm in the 1980s. During his time at The Ohio State University, he gained valuable experience as an intern in the Ohio Senate. By 1987, Eric and his two brothers, both of whom earned their law degrees in 1984 and 1986, returned to Akron to practice law.

Since 1989, Eric has specialized in family law, with a particular emphasis on high asset divorce cases. He understands the complexities of navigating the court system during the divorce and dissolution process and is known for his attention to detail and compassionate advocacy. Eric approaches each case with a cerebral, professional, and civil demeanor, recognizing the unique opportunities each case presents for his clients.
