Pete Friedmann

Peter Friedmann is a founding member of The Friedmann Firm, LLC, with a presence in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Toledo, Ohio. He is dedicated to advocating for employees in state and federal courts throughout Ohio, focusing on employment law areas such as discrimination, harassment, FMLA interference and retaliation, wrongful termination, unpaid wages and overtime, employee misclassification, severance negotiations, and whistleblower claims.

Peter is admitted to practice in all Ohio state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. His commitment to protecting workers' rights has led to significant verdicts and settlements for his clients.

Peter earned his B.A. from Ohio University’s College of Business in 2008 and his J.D. from Capital University Law School in 2012. During his time at law school, he was honored with the Outstanding Service & Leadership Award and was inducted into the Order of Barristers for his excellence in oral and written advocacy.

Recognized for his expertise, Peter has been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” one of the Top 3 Employment Lawyers in Columbus by Three Best Rated, and listed among the Best Employment Lawyers in Columbus by Expertise.com. He also boasts a Superb rating and Top Contributor Award on Avvo.

Beyond his practice, Peter is active in lecturing on employment law topics and has authored numerous articles on employee rights, including forced arbitration, COVID-19 workplace issues, and employment contract disputes. He holds leadership roles as a Board Member of the Central Ohio Association for Justice, Employment Law Section Chair and Trustee for the Ohio Association for Justice, and is a member of the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.
