Joshua Adam Engel

Joshua Adam Engel launched his legal career in 2001 as an Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. In 2002, he transitioned to Ohio, joining the Warren County Prosecutor's Office as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney under Judge Rachel Hutzel. There, he managed high-profile cases, including death penalty disputes and those featured on national programs like 48 Hours. Engel advanced to lead the appellate division, handling appeals and drafting amicus curiae briefs for both the Ohio Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court.

From 2007 to 2010, Engel served as Chief Litigation Counsel for the Ohio Department of Public Safety. In this capacity, he offered legal guidance to form a cohesive state strategy for public safety and security. Prior to his roles in Ohio, Engel started at Choate, Hall & Stewart, a prestigious Boston law firm. At Choate, he represented families in complex litigation across federal and state courts and managed cases involving millions of dollars for Fortune 500 companies like Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Travelers.
