Denise Rini

Denise Rini, a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, began her journey in Maple Heights and later moved to Lyndhurst, where she currently resides. After graduating from Brush High School in 1975, she pursued a degree in Human Services at Baldwin Wallace University while simultaneously working as a private investigator and freelance designer in advertising. Her career in advertising included a 12-year tenure as an Advertising Director at a financial institution.

At the age of 40, Denise decided to follow her passion for law, specifically in the areas of juvenile and family law. Her dedication to these fields is evident through her long-standing involvement with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s Guardian ad Litem Advisory Board from 2004 to 2016. As a judge, she played a crucial role in the formation of a CASA program, which later became part of the Child and Family Advocates of Cuyahoga County, addressing the needs of children in foster care.

Since assuming her judicial role in January 2013, Denise has initiated several community-focused projects, such as Warrant Recall Fridays and CASA of Cuyahoga County, aimed at strengthening families and supporting children. She also serves as the jurist for the Teen Drug Court and Safe Harbor Docket and oversees the Magistrate for Reentry Court.

In addition to her judicial responsibilities, Denise was recently nominated as a Board Member of the Ohio Association of Juvenile Court Judges. Her entire courtroom career has been dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children and families in Cuyahoga County.
