Bryan Hawkins, a native of central Ohio, pursued his education at Dublin Schools and graduated high school in Cincinnati. He returned to central Ohio to attend The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. His growing interest in law led him to Capital University Law School, from which he graduated Cum Laude in 2011. That same year, he was admitted to the Ohio Bar.
During law school, Mr. Hawkins gained valuable experience working as a law clerk in the Common Pleas division of the Franklin County Public Defender Office. There, he assisted attorneys defending clients charged with felony crimes, which solidified his commitment to criminal defense.
Upon being sworn in, Bryan Hawkins joined the Municipal Unit of the Franklin Public Defender Office as counsel. Over seven years, he represented numerous clients in a variety of cases, including minor traffic violations, DUI/OVI offenses, and serious vehicular crimes.
