Felice Lisette Harris

Felice Lisette Harris launched her legal career as an Appellate Legal Counsel with the Office of the Ohio Public Defender. She honed her skills in the post-conviction legal field and later prosecuted misdemeanor offenses with the Columbus City Legal Counsel. Returning to the Ohio Public Defender’s Office, she led the Juvenile Division, overseeing staff, managing budgets, drafting grants, and engaging with legislative and agency collaborations.

In 2009, Attorney Harris established her own practice, initially handling delinquency, criminal, A/N/D, and appellate matters. Today, Harris Law Firm, LLC is a boutique practice dedicated to Criminal and Permanent Custody Appeals as well as Post-Conviction Motions. With extensive appellate experience, the firm provides tailored strategies for clients challenging convictions or custody losses. The firm also evaluates eligibility for Delayed Appeals, Applications for Reopening, Judicial Release Motions, Post-Conviction Relief Petitions, and Record Sealing or Expungement. Additionally, they assist with Parole Board Hearings.

A lifelong learner, Ms. Harris earned a Master’s degree in Counselor Education and received the CUNY Graduate Center Presidential MAGNET Fellowship from 2003 to 2007 while pursuing a Ph.D. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio, the Federal District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
