Paulette Francine Balin

Paulette F. Balin began her legal career in 1978 after earning her law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. Raised in Timberlake, OH, she attended Laurel School in Shaker Heights and graduated magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University in 1975, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

In 1980, Paulette established her law practice in Cleveland, Ohio. She has extensive experience in Social Security Disability, SSI, and Long-Term Disability law, managing a wide range of cases involving physical and mental impairments. Her expertise includes conditions such as arthritis, depression, fibromyalgia, and more complex issues like Lyme disease and CRPS.

Paulette has successfully argued cases at all administrative levels and in Federal Court, including the Federal 6th Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, contributing to significant legal precedents for disability rights.

She holds bar admissions in Ohio and Florida and is authorized to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

An active member of the legal community, she is affiliated with the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Lake County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, and is a Sustaining Member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).

Paulette frequently lectures to attorneys, physicians, and mental health professionals about disability law. She has represented thousands of claimants nationwide.
