Bill Hulsey

Bill Hulsey has dedicated over 35 years to practicing Patent and Trademark Law, assisting inventors and entrepreneurs across the Southeast United States, with a focus on Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana. His work is centered around empowering innovative minds to secure their intellectual property rights.

Throughout his career, Bill has successfully prosecuted and obtained patents and trademarks for a diverse array of clients, including aspiring inventors and visionary entrepreneurs. He is passionate about fostering a cycle of innovation and entrepreneurial growth that drives intellectual property development and encourages fair commercialization.

Bill's notable achievements include interviewing, drafting, and prosecuting over 2,000 U.S. and international patents across various technology sectors, such as energy, electronics, drones, robotics, artificial intelligence, consumer products, medical devices, chemical, and financial/blockchain technologies. He has also secured over 1,500 trademarks for a wide range of companies and products.

Among his distinguished representations, Bill has worked with an Apollo Program Astronaut on multi-functional air- and space-craft design patents, and with Mr. Gordon Matthews, the inventor of voicemail and other voice-based communication technologies. He has contributed patents crucial to Lockheed Aerospace's success in the $200 billion F-35 Joint Strike Fighter contract with the U.S. Department of Defense.

Additionally, Bill established the first 100 patents for a silicon crystal solar cell fabrication technology, recognized by the U.S. Patent Office as a breakthrough in silicon fabrication. He also initiated the U.S. Patent Office Pro Bono Inventor Assistance Program for qualified inventors in Texas, in collaboration with the USPTO Office of Innovation Development.
