Josh Dean Lee

Josh Dean Lee is a highly respected attorney in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, recognized for his profound knowledge in forensic science. Holding an AV Preeminent Rating, he has shared his expertise through over 300 lectures in 22 states and two countries. In addition to his law degree, Josh holds a Master of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Florida and is a Nationally Registered EMT.

Josh is a co-founder and instructor of the Forensic Chromatography programs at Axion Analytical Labs in Chicago, Illinois. He has presented at national meetings of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS). In 2011, he was elected as the Forensic Science Co-Chairman for the Chemistry and the Law Division of the ACS and serves as an Assistant Chromatography Instructor.

As the only Oklahoma attorney recognized as an “ACS Forensic Lawyer-Scientist” by the Chemistry and the Law Division of the ACS, Josh's contributions to the field are significant. In 2018, he was named one of Oklahoma Magazine's top “40 Under 40” young leaders. His accolades include two President’s Awards from the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, a Dean’s Award from the National College for DUI Defense, and the Fern Holland Courageous Lawyer Award from the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2018.

Josh is also a published author on topics such as gas chromatography, blood and breath testing, oral fluid testing, forensic science reform, drug testing, drug analogues, search and seizure, and trial advocacy. He founded and serves as Managing Editor of FOIBible.com, a platform promoting government transparency in Oklahoma.

A founding member of The Lee Firm, Josh has also served as a Board Member for Freedom of Information Oklahoma, Inc., and as Past President of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association Justice Foundation. His volunteer work with the Oklahoma Innocence Project led to the successful exoneration of two wrongfully convicted individuals.
