Brandon Joe Burton

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, on December 11, 1968, Brandon Joe Burton has built a notable legal career in Oklahoma. He earned his B.S. in 1991 and M.S. in 1993 from Oklahoma State University, followed by a J.D. in 1996 from Oklahoma City University. Admitted to the bar in Oklahoma in 1997 and in Texas in 2006, he is also qualified to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Oklahoma.

Burton has played significant roles in various legal organizations. He served on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division from 1999 to 2001 and was President of Lawyers for Working Oklahomans from 2002 to 2003. Currently, he remains active as a Board Member for both Lawyers for Working Oklahomans and the Workplace Injury Litigation Group.

His professional affiliations include membership in the American Association for Justice, Oklahoma Association for Justice, and the American Bar Association. He also contributed to Governor Henry’s Workers’ Compensation Task Force from 2004 to 2005 and is a member of the Luther Bohannon American Inns of Court.

In addition to his legal practice, Burton served as an Oklahoma Horse Racing Commissioner from 2009 to 2015, acting as Chairman from 2014 to 2015. He is also the Scholarship Chair for Kid’s Chance of Oklahoma, Inc., demonstrating his commitment to community service.
