Katherine R. Mazaheri

Katherine R. Mazaheri is a dedicated trial lawyer who focuses on representing plaintiff employees across a wide spectrum of employment law. Her expertise extends to litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as mediation and appearances before administrative bodies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor (DOL), and Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC). Katherine has effectively managed cases involving wrongful discharge, sexual harassment and assault, and employment discrimination based on race, age, gender, sexual stereotyping, pregnancy, national origin, and disability. She also addresses issues related to retaliation, wage and hour disputes, medical leave, confidentiality and non-compete agreements, employee handbook and policy violations, and breaches of employment agreements. Katherine dedicates a portion of her trial practice to assisting families during crises. Her family law practice includes handling matters related to dissolution of marriage, custody and visitation, property division, and step-parent adoptions. She also aids couples in negotiating pre-nuptial agreements and asset protection.

In her employment practice, Katherine frequently advises and trains employers on various workplace issues, including hiring practices, discipline, terminations, and the creation and auditing of employment handbooks. Her training programs cover drug and alcohol testing, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies, employment contracts, severance agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Recently, she has provided educational sessions for tribal employees on sexual harassment and conducted workplace training for over 400 employees. Additionally, she was a speaker at the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Update in 2019, contributing to continuing legal education for attorneys.
