Damien Donnelly-Cole is an accomplished criminal defense trial lawyer with 18 years of experience representing clients across Oregon’s courts. His career is distinguished by a deep commitment to understanding the unique needs and legal challenges of each client, enabling him to advocate effectively for positive outcomes.

Damien began his legal journey at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Illinois, where he gained valuable experience in prosecuting major crimes. He then transitioned to defending individuals accused of crimes as a public defender in St. Louis, Missouri, and Portland, Oregon. This experience solidified his passion for defense work, which has become the cornerstone of his career.

As a former public defender, Damien represented clients charged with offenses such as Driving Under the Influence, Domestic Violence, Prostitution, and Ballot Measure 11 crimes, including Vehicular Manslaughter, Attempted Murder, Robbery, Sex Crimes, and Assault. His time at the public defender’s office honed his skills in managing a diverse trial docket and building strong relationships through daily courtroom advocacy.

Since transitioning to private practice, Damien has been able to dedicate more time to his clients, offering guidance earlier in their legal processes. This shift has enhanced his advocacy efforts, allowing him to provide more personalized care to those in need.
