Sean Badgley

Sean Badgley brings over ten years of expertise in advising businesses within complex regulatory and economic landscapes. His legal practice focuses on business transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and administrative regulatory matters. Sean has extensive experience working with both startups and established companies, helping them navigate legal frameworks to achieve strategic objectives.

Sean's legal career began in 2013 in Washington State's cannabis industry, where he played a pivotal role in interpreting evolving cannabis laws and advocating for regulatory advancements. His proficiency in regulated industries extends beyond cannabis, as he offers comprehensive guidance on compliance, governance, and business operations.

Prior to joining Structure Law Group, Sean founded and led a boutique business law practice in downtown Seattle, managing a team of attorneys on diverse corporate and regulatory issues. He earned his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2014, where he was involved with the Cannabis Law Society. Sean has represented some of Washington's most prominent cannabis retailers, addressing general counsel matters, employment issues, and mergers and acquisitions.

Sean's pro bono work includes advocacy litigation against city governments and the State of Washington. Originally from Colorado, he earned his B.A. in Business Economics from the University of Colorado in 2007, with a focus on interdisciplinary business studies. Residing in the Pacific Northwest with his family, Sean enjoys exploring the area's scenic hiking trails with his wife, daughter, and two dachshund-mix dogs. In his free time, he is passionate about playing video games and TTRPGs, cooking, and reading historical non-fiction.
