J Christian Malone

J Christian Malone, founder of Bristlecone Law in Bend, Oregon, brings over 15 years of expertise in civil litigation to clients throughout Central Oregon and the state. His practice encompasses real property disputes, real estate transactions, construction issues, HOA conflicts, contract matters, business litigation, and appeals. Known for his principled advocacy, Christian provides clients with direct communication and personalized strategies, guiding them through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, trial, and appeal.

Christian's legal journey began at the Oregon Supreme Court, where he clerked for Chief Justice Paul J. De Muniz and Associate Justice Virginia L. Linder. These formative experiences honed his skills in judicial reasoning and appellate work. A graduate of Willamette University College of Law, Christian has been practicing in Oregon since 2005 and is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.

Outside his legal practice, Christian is passionate about exploring national parks with his family, engaging in music, and contributing to the community. He serves on the Board of the Cascade School of Music and is actively involved in the judicial community. His leadership roles include serving on the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates, the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board, and the Civil Justice Improvements Task Force, as well as with the Deschutes County Bar Association.
