Lisa Johnston-Porter

Lisa Johnston-Porter, Esq., serves as the Managing Partner at JP Law, PC, in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Admitted in both Oregon and Washington, she has cultivated a distinguished career advocating for individuals with disabilities. Raised in Southern Oregon by a mother diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Lisa developed a deep understanding of disability challenges early in life.

After high school, she worked for eight years as a lead paralegal for a handicapped attorney, which further fueled her commitment to disability advocacy. Lisa graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1995 while clerking at the former Plaintiff’s Firm, Pozzi, Wilson, Atchison. There, she gained invaluable experience in workers compensation appeals, personal injury, and Social Security Disability cases, including involvement in breast implant class action litigations.

In 2002, Lisa launched her own practice, Johnston Porter Law Office, P.C., focusing on Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, and Social Security Disability. By 2011, she honed her practice to specialize more exclusively in Social Security Disability. The following year, she founded KP Law, PC, which expanded by integrating the practice of retiring attorney David Lowry, forming one of the largest disability practices in the Northwest.

In 2015, JP Law, PC, acquired KP Law, PC, solidifying its reputation as a leading disability law firm in the Pacific Northwest, with operations extending into Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Northern California.
