Amanda Bonnesen

Amanda J. Bonnesen serves as the Managing Partner at Berger and Green, where she focuses on representing clients in Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Her extensive experience and dedication to her clients underscore her commitment to securing the benefits that can significantly impact their lives.

Amanda is passionate about guiding clients through the complexities of the disability process, ensuring they receive the necessary support to move forward. Her educational journey began at The Linsly School, graduating in 1999, followed by a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina. She further enriched her education through the National Student Exchange at the University of Wyoming and earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Dayton School of Law in 2006.

Her legal career commenced as an Assistant Public Defender in Allegheny County, where she gained substantial courtroom experience. She later joined Berger and Green, focusing on SSD and SSI cases. Amanda is an active member of the Social Security Practitioners Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

In terms of professional recognition, Amanda was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – Rising Star from 2017 to 2021, placing her among the top 5% of attorneys in Pennsylvania for peer recognition and professional achievement.

Amanda holds bar admissions in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

Her professional associations include membership in the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA), where she also contributes to the Social Security Practitioners Committee.
