Katie Pilgren-Beatty

Katie Pilgren-Beatty serves as a Partner at the Law Offices of Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti, P.C., where she focuses on employment discrimination cases. Her extensive litigation experience includes handling claims under federal and state statutes such as Title VII, Section 1981, the FMLA, ADEA, ADA, NJ LAD, and PHRA. Mrs. Pilgren-Beatty is adept at leading and co-counseling in diverse employment discrimination matters, often achieving jury verdicts. She also represents clients in wage and hour disputes and before the PHRC and EEOC, as well as in unemployment financial recovery hearings. She is licensed to practice in the highest courts of both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

While she continues to engage in litigation, Mrs. Pilgren-Beatty has shifted her primary focus to managing the firm's intake process. She evaluates cases, oversees filings, and coordinates case assignments with lead trial attorneys and associate counsel. Her exceptional skills were recognized when she was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2019.

Before joining Karpf, Karpf & Cerutti, P.C., Mrs. Pilgren-Beatty earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law, where she excelled as a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society and won the Hugh B. Pearce trial competition. She also led the Issues Committee of the Widener Women's Law Caucus. Her early career included valuable experience as an associate intern and litigation support staff intern with organizations such as the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Widener Pennsylvania Civil Law Clinic, and A Woman's Place.

Mrs. Pilgren-Beatty graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.
