Michael Applebaum

Michael H. Applebaum has built a distinguished legal career over four decades in Pennsylvania, having represented thousands of clients and tried hundreds of cases. Known for his professionalism and tenacious trial methods, he has gained the respect of judges, jurors, clients, and peers. One of his most challenging cases was the 1994 murder of Philadelphia teenager Eddie Polec, a case that inspired the book, 'In Eddie’s Name: One Family’s Triumph over Tragedy.'

In 1960, Michael began his academic journey at Temple University in Philadelphia, working as a longshoreman to support his education. He graduated in 1964 with a B.S. in Accounting and a Minor in Journalism and Communications. Following Temple, he received a full scholarship to the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where he excelled academically, graduating in the top 10% of his class in 1967 with a Juris Doctor degree. During law school, he was an esteemed member of the Law Review and served as Chairman of the Law Student Civil Rights Counsel, organizing Dr. Martin Luther King's speaking engagements and advocating for minority rights.

For over 40 years, Michael has led Applebaum and Associates, a prominent law firm with five offices, a dedicated team of associates, and skilled paralegals. The firm is known for its commitment to representing clients' interests diligently in court.
