Marla Soffer

Marla Soffer, Of Counsel at Galfand Berger, LLP, brings over three decades of legal expertise, focusing on workers’ rights, safety, settlement, and personal injury and disability law. She earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and holds a BA in Urban Studies and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania. Fluent in Spanish, Marla frequently lectures on workers' rights, product liability claims, and personal injury issues.

Marla is a consulting counsel to the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia and actively participates in community service. She is on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition and served as Vice President of the Mexican Cultural Center. Additionally, she contributes to the Fleisher Art Memorial's mission to make art accessible to all.

Her dedication to immigrant communities is evident through her teaching of adult ESL classes at SEAMAAC and her role as a founding member of Puentes Latino Collaborative of Montgomery County. Marla's community involvement includes board service and volunteer work with Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts / Arts & Business Council of Greater Philadelphia.

Marla has been a board member of Nexus Foundation for Today’s Art and volunteers with the Zero-cost Library of Philadelphia's Author Events. She also helped organize the One Book, One Philadelphia program focused on community health and wellness initiatives.
