April M Townsend

April M. Townsend is a dedicated attorney licensed in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with over ten years of experience. Her practice focuses on family law, encompassing divorce, equitable distribution, support, custody, and adoption, as well as estate planning and administration.

April earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maryland, double-majoring in Government & Politics and Criminal Justice, graduating with honors. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Temple University's James E. Beasley School of Law, where she was a Conwell Law Scholar. During her legal studies, April gained valuable experience interning with Judge Hill at the Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, focusing on employment litigation and insurance fraud.

Upon passing the bar, April joined a family law firm as an associate, where she honed her skills over a decade. She is a certified mediator and has contributed to NBI Seminars, recently lecturing on Estate Planning for Unmarried and Remarried Couples in 2021. April actively participates in her community, serving as Secretary on the Executive Board of the YWCA of Bucks County and as Vice Chair for the GMZ Community Development Corporation.
