James Robinson was born in Binghamton, New York, and moved to Cumberland County at the age of three. He completed his high school education at Trinity High School in 1973 and pursued pre-law studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 1977, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities from Penn State University. James began his career working with major corporations such as ITT, Hershey Chocolate Company, and Mellon Bank, focusing on credit, collection, and finance.
While employed at Harsco Corporation, James attended Widener University School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1999. He successfully passed the Pennsylvania bar exam in July 1999 and was admitted to the bar in November that year.
Currently residing in New Cumberland with his family, James enjoys home improvement projects and playing golf during his free time. His daughter is a student at Millersville University of Pennsylvania.
