About Darryl W. Cunningham
Darryl W. Cunningham holds a B.S. in Education from Shippensburg University and earned his J.D. from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law, where he was honored with the Joseph Leyburn Kramer Award. His legal career began in Pennsylvania, where from 1988 to 2007, he adeptly represented clients in areas such as abuse, custody, divorce, criminal defense, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant disputes, and civil litigation, ranging from small collections to medical malpractice. His dedication to pro bono work was recognized with the York County Bar Association Pro Bono Award in 1993.
In 2007, Darryl transitioned to Virginia, serving as a Senior Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia in Williamsburg. He also contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Professor at William & Mary School of Law. There, he established and supervised the Family Law Clinic, oversaw the Domestic Violence Clinic, and taught essential legal skills to future attorneys.
Darryl's contributions to the legal community have been recognized with several honors. He received the George Wythe Society annual award, which acknowledges outstanding service and character within the Law School community.
