Richard Freeburn

Richard E. Freeburn has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting his exceptional legal skills and ethical standards. This rating, established in 1887, is based on confidential feedback from peers and judges, and remains a prestigious benchmark. Richard scored the highest possible marks, a 5, in all evaluated categories.

Richard began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Richard B. Wickersham at the Pennsylvania Superior Court. In 1982, he transitioned to private practice, initially representing insurance companies in personal injury matters. By 1988, he became a partner at a plaintiffs’ personal injury firm, and in 2000, he established Freeburn & Hamilton.

Throughout his career, Richard has represented approximately 50 police officers and their families in injury and wrongful death cases, including seven wrongful death claims. He is deeply committed to advocating for those who serve and protect their communities.
