Kelly Jurs

Kelly A. Jurs is a dedicated legal advocate based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, renowned for her compassionate representation in challenging situations. With a focus on Family Law and Criminal Defense, Kelly leverages her extensive courtroom experience to help clients navigate the legal system effectively.

Kelly brings 15 years of litigation experience within the Chester County Court system. Her Family Law practice encompasses all facets, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements, divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, and property settlements. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Council of Mediators, handling both litigation and mediation.

In her Criminal Defense practice, Kelly is qualified to serve as defense counsel in Pennsylvania capital cases. She represents clients in felony and misdemeanor cases, addressing issues from DUI and possession to first-degree homicide. Her services include plea negotiations, treatment court resolutions, and addressing probation and parole violations, as well as juvenile court matters.

Before joining private practice, Kelly honed her skills at the Chester County Public Defender’s Office. There, she managed every stage of felony and misdemeanor cases, from preliminary hearings to state appellate reviews. She also served as first chair in numerous jury trials, including first-degree homicide cases.

Active in her community, Kelly is a member of the Chester County Bar Association. She moderated the West Chester Mayoral Candidate Policing Forum before the Fall 2021 election and co-paneled a Continuing Legal Education course on nonprofit board contributions. Her commitment to public service is evident in her ongoing community involvement.
