April M Townsend

April M. Townsend has been practicing law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for over a decade, specializing in family law matters such as divorce, equitable distribution, support, custody, and adoption. Additionally, she provides clients with comprehensive estate planning and administration services.

April earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, double-majoring in Government & Politics and Criminal Justice, graduating with honors. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University as a Conwell Law Scholar. During her legal studies, she gained valuable experience interning for Judge Hill at the Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center and working with the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General in employment litigation and insurance fraud.

Upon passing the bar, April joined a family law firm as an associate, where she worked for over ten years. She is a certified mediator and has contributed as faculty for NBI Seminars, most recently lecturing on Estate Planning for Unmarried and Remarried Couples in 2021. Recognized as a Top Attorney by Suburban Life Magazine, April actively participates in her community.

April holds leadership roles as Secretary on the Executive Board of the YWCA of Bucks County and Vice Chair for the GMZ Community Development Corporation. She is also an active member of the Bucks County Bar Association, engaging in various sections and volunteering her services pro bono.
