Alan Price Young

Alan Price Young is a distinguished attorney in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, recognized for his expertise in representing nonprofit community associations within common interest communities (CICs), including Pennsylvania condominiums, cooperatives, and planned communities. At our Stroudsburg firm, where he is the most senior of three attorneys, Alan adeptly handles a range of legal matters such as the application of Uniform Acts for CICs, transitions from developer control, project receiverships, and association governance. His practice areas also encompass fiduciary duties, governing document opinions and amendments, covenant enforcement, strategic planning, alternative dispute resolution, and utility sales.

Alan is an active member of the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and a Fellow of the College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL). He frequently lectures for CAI and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI), participating as a panelist in continuing legal education (CLE) programs focused on CIC issues. His contributions to the field include extensive publications on CIC topics for these organizations.

In addition to his legal career, Alan served as the 2009 President of the Monroe County Bar Association and remains active in various civic organizations within his community and region. Before entering the legal profession, Alan had a distinguished six-year career as a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force. He flew a combat tour in Southeast Asia piloting the A-1 Skyraider and later served as an instructor pilot in the T-38A Talon in the USA. Alan also holds FAA commercial, multi-engine, and instrument pilot ratings.
