Jamie R. Schumacher

Jamie R. Schumacher serves as an Associate in the Litigation Department at MacDonald Illig, where she specializes in commercial litigation, employment litigation, insurance defense, and municipal/ordinance enforcement. She actively participates in the firm's Commercial/General Litigation Practice Group, Labor & Employment Practice Group, Government Services Practice Group, Marketing Committee, and Recruitment Committee.

Licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, Ms. Schumacher also represents clients in the United States District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Her leadership experience includes serving as the former chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Erie County Bar Association and being a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates.

Ms. Schumacher frequently shares her expertise through speaking engagements and publications on substantive law and practice. Beyond her legal career, she cherishes time with her daughter and maintains her passion for dance as both a student and instructor at Long's School of Dance in Erie.

Prior to joining MacDonald Illig, Ms. Schumacher gained valuable experience as an intern at the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office Domestic Violence Division.
