Shaun B. Adrian

Shaun B. Adrian, a senior partner at MacDonald Illig, is a key member of the firm's Estates and Trusts Group. He collaborates with individuals and families to create estate plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and tax considerations. Shaun's expertise spans estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law.

His practice involves drafting wills, trusts, including those for children with special needs, as well as preparing durable powers of attorney, health care powers of attorney, and living wills. He also provides guidance on estate tax planning, guardianship issues, and long-term care planning.

Shaun has extensive experience in estate and trust administration, offering counsel to both individuals and corporate executors or trustees throughout the process. Beyond his legal practice, Shaun has delivered lectures to professional and community groups on topics such as estate planning, probate, Medicaid planning, and planning for families with special needs children.

After a distinguished 24-year career in the Navy Reserve, Shaun retired with the rank of Commander from the Expeditionary Combat Command. Before joining MacDonald Illig, he was an associate at Buchanan Ingersoll, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
