Timothy Dean McNair

Timothy Dean McNair, an Erie-based attorney, has been practicing law since 1981, specializing in litigation. He represents clients who have suffered physical injuries, such as in car accidents or workplace incidents, and those facing financial harm due to discriminatory employment practices. Additionally, he handles real estate transactions and estate settlements.

McNair is affiliated with the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and both the Pennsylvania and Erie County Bar Associations. His leadership roles include serving as Chair of the PAAJ Workers Compensation Section, the Erie County Bar Association Workers Compensation Section, and the ECBA Civil Rules Committee. He frequently presents at Continuing Legal Education Seminars for the PAAJ and actively participates in the Erie County Democratic Committee's Executive Committee.

Beyond his legal practice, McNair is the Board Chair of Empower Erie, a nonprofit dedicated to securing state approval for the Erie County Community College. His community involvement extends to various boards and associations.

Recognized for his pro bono work, McNair was named a leading pro bono attorney by the Erie County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. He recently received the George F. Douglas, Jr., Amicus Curiae Award from the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.

McNair's personal life is rooted in Erie, Pennsylvania, where he has lived for 37 years with his spouse. They have four grown children and two grandchildren. A highlight of his career was contributing to the trial team in Bryan v. Erie County Office of Children and Youth, achieving an $8.7 million verdict for a child victimized by a predator placed by the agency.
