Francis Joseph Lafferty

Francis J. Lafferty, IV obtained his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1999, following his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina in 1990. In 2011, he co-founded Norfleet and Lafferty in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, after serving as a partner at Metzger, Wickersham, Knauss and Erb, P.C.

Mr. Lafferty specializes in representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases, particularly those involving motorcycle, automobile, and trucking accidents. He has successfully managed wrongful death cases and complex injury claims, securing significant verdicts and settlements, including a $400,000 verdict in Dauphin County in 2002 and a $725,000 settlement for a motorcycle accident in 2008.

His expertise extends to trial work, mediation, and arbitration, where he has resolved numerous cases through meticulous preparation and negotiation. Mr. Lafferty is also highly experienced in workers' compensation law, advocating for injured workers throughout the claims process, from initial filings to appeals. He has achieved multiple six-figure settlements and effectively utilized mediation programs to secure settlements exceeding $100,000.
