Justin James McShane

Attorney Justin James McShane, located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, is a renowned trial attorney known for his adept use of forensic science in defending individuals accused of crimes. His reputation as a skilled litigator is complemented by his comprehensive understanding of forensic science. He holds the distinction of being the first attorney nationwide to receive the Forensic Lawyer Scientist designation from the American Chemical Society-Chemistry and the Law Division (ACS-CHAL).

McShane is also Board Certified in DUI Defense Law by the National College for DUI Defense (NCDD), making him the first and only attorney in Pennsylvania to achieve this certification, as well as the youngest in the United States. Additionally, he is certified as a Criminal Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, recognized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

Further demonstrating his expertise, he became the first attorney in the country to earn certification in Forensic Sobriety Assessment. McShane is a Sustaining Member and served as the State Delegate National Coordinator with the NCDD. His teaching contributions include serving on the faculty of the Indiana University Center for Studies of Law in Action Borkenstein Drug Course from 2014 to 2019.
