Marla Soffer

Marla Soffer, with an extensive legal career spanning more than three decades, is Of Counsel at Galfand Berger, LLP. She graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Urban Studies and Spanish, and earned her J.D. from the Temple University Beasley School of Law. Her legal practice is centered on workers’ rights, safety, compensation, personal injury, and disability law.

Fluent in Spanish, Marla frequently lectures on workers' rights and safety, product liability claims, and personal injury matters. She consults for the Consulate of Mexico in Philadelphia and is a Board Director at the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition. Her leadership roles include serving as Vice President and Board Director of the Mexican Cultural Center.

Marla's dedication to community service is evident through her involvement with the Fleisher Art Memorial, where she serves on the Board of Directors, promoting accessible art education. She has taught ESL conversation classes at SEAMAAC and was a founding member of the Puentes Latino Collaborative of Montgomery County.

Her community engagement extends to her long-standing participation with the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, where she is a volunteer attorney and former board member. Marla also contributes to the Free Library of Philadelphia's Author Events and has organized health and wellness programs for One Book, One Philadelphia.
