Robert C. May

Robert C. May is a distinguished attorney with a focus on representing privately-held businesses and their owners across various practice areas, including Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Mergers & Acquisitions. Born in 1964, he completed his undergraduate studies with honors at the Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College in 1986.

Robert began his career as an associate computer systems analyst at Morgan Stanley in New York City from 1986 to 1989. He later pursued his legal education at the Dickinson School of Law, part of Pennsylvania State University, graduating cum laude in 1992. His academic excellence was recognized with the Edward N. Polisher award for achieving the highest GPA in tax law courses.

Since 1992, Robert has practiced law, initially with Shumaker Williams, P.C. in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, and subsequently with Morgan Lewis & Bockius, LLP in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In 1999, he transitioned to private practice, establishing May & May, P.C. with his wife on January 1, 2000.

In addition to his legal practice, Robert is an educator, having taught Business Law, Administrative Law, and Computer Legal Research at Penn State University. He has also served as a visiting lecturer at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, focusing on Entrepreneurial Law.

Robert is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Business Law Section, contributing to the LLC Standard Forms Taskforce and the publication "Pennsylvania LLC Documents." He is also involved with the Cumberland County Bar Association, serving as an officer in its Business Law Section. His bar admissions include the United States Tax Court and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
