Richard Godshall

Rich Godshall brings a wealth of experience to Ostroff Law, where he represents clients in cases involving catastrophic injuries from car accidents, truck accidents, construction site incidents, unsafe conditions, and defective products. Previously, Rich was a partner at a nationally recognized defense firm, where he gained over ten years of experience.

Rich's trial expertise is extensive, covering areas such as jury selection, lay and expert witness preparation, and cross-examination. He is also adept in alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and binding arbitrations. His legal acumen has contributed to approximately $100 million in settlements and verdicts.

Rich's transition to representing injury victims is bolstered by his deep understanding of defendants and insurance companies, allowing him to secure fair settlements for his clients. He graduated from LaSalle University in 2001 and earned his Juris Doctorate from Temple University Law School in 2004, where he was on the Dean’s List and received the Barrister Award for outstanding trial advocacy.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Rich is active in both state and federal courts. He has lectured and authored articles on various legal topics, including punitive damages, surveillance law, and contract indemnity risk in construction projects. As a contributing editor for the “LexisNexis Practice Guide: Pennsylvania Personal Injury Litigation,” Rich continues to influence the legal field.

Rich is a former Chairperson of the Construction Worksite Injury Subcommittee for the Defense Research Institute (DRI), a prominent organization for defense attorneys.
