Kathleen Nee

Kathleen Nee is a seasoned attorney in Central Falls, Rhode Island, with a focus on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury. Her practice involves representing clients facing a broad spectrum of criminal charges, such as driving under the influence, drug offenses, domestic violence, assault, robbery, and various sexual offenses, including possession of child pornography, child molestation, and sexual assault. Kathleen is known for her tenacious defense strategies and readiness to take cases to trial when it serves her clients' best interests.

In addition to criminal defense, Kathleen provides legal representation to individuals injured due to others' negligence, including those involved in car accidents. Before founding Nee Law LLC, Kathleen gained valuable experience as a legal assistant to Judge John J. McConnell, Jr., at the United States District Court. Her professional journey also includes training at esteemed law firms such as Harrington & Vitale, Motley Rice, and Deluca & Weizenbaum, where she honed her skills in criminal defense and civil litigation.

Kathleen's career also encompasses a notable background in electoral politics. At 26, she became the youngest Congressional Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill, working with Congressman Don Cazayoux of Louisiana. She served as the Southern Regional Political Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and contributed to numerous political campaigns nationwide. Locally, she advised Congressman David Cicilline, participated on the board of Progreso Latino, and mentored through the Year Up program. In 2014, she was appointed as the transition director by General Treasurer Seth Magaziner.
