James Bernard Huff

James Bernard Huff is a distinguished attorney located in Aiken, South Carolina. As a founding member of the National College DUI Defense, he is one of only 100 lawyers nationwide to hold this honor. He also played a pivotal role as a founding member and Past President of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Recognized as one of the top DUI attorneys in South Carolina by The State newspaper, Mr. Huff is Datamaster and NHTSA SFST Certified. His career includes serving as a law clerk to a Circuit Court Judge, an Assistant Solicitor, City Attorney, and Prosecutor, before transitioning to private practice in 1988.

Mr. Huff has made significant contributions to legal literature, co-authoring several key publications on DUI and Traffic law. These include "Handling Traffic Cases in South Carolina," spanning 1st to 6th Editions, the "South Carolina Traffic Law Manual," 2nd Edition, and the "South Carolina DUI Defense Manual," 3rd Edition.

In addition to his writing, Mr. Huff is a seasoned speaker, having presented at numerous DUI and criminal law seminars. He is committed to legal education, teaching annually at Magistrate and Municipal Judges seminars. His dedication to ethics in law is evident from his long-standing service on the SC Bar Ethics Advisory Committee.
