J. Olin McDougall II

J. Olin McDougall II embarked on his legal journey at the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1991. During his time there, he achieved the Dean's List and pursued independent legal studies, actively participating in legal societies. As a member of the Student Chapter of the SC Trial Lawyers Association, he served as the Legal Research Coordinator.

While in law school, Mr. McDougall clerked for Furr & Henshaw, gaining valuable experience in Medical Malpractice, as well as Nursing Home & Assisted Living Malpractice, catastrophic injury, and defective products cases.

After earning his degree in August 1994, Mr. McDougall joined the SC Judicial Department as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Henry F. Floyd. Judge Floyd, who was a State Circuit Court Judge and later a US District Court Judge, now serves on the US Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

In 1996, Mr. McDougall relocated to Beaufort, SC, where he began representing injured victims at Daugs, Tedder, Newman & McDougall. His practice areas included Serious Injury & Death Claims, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Workers’ Compensation Claims, Nursing Home Abuse & Neglect, Insurance Claims & Litigation, and more.

In July 2007, he established the McDougall LawFirm, specializing in Personal Injury, Medical & Nursing Home Malpractice, Professional Negligence, Sexual Assault, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial & Corporate Law, Real Estate Litigation, and Time Share Litigation.
