Malcolm Crosland

Malcolm Crosland was raised in Charleston in a family with a rich legal heritage. After earning his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1987, he joined the Steinberg Law Firm. Malcolm was inspired by the firm's dedication to representing working individuals and advocating for justice and equality for those injured and their families. While his office is based in the downtown area, Malcolm frequently travels across the state to meet with clients and support their legal battles.

Malcolm has been honored three times as one of the Best Lawyers in America and was named a Super Lawyer in 2011. He holds an esteemed A/V rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting his professional and ethical excellence. As a past president of Injured Workers Advocates, the sole statewide organization focused on defending the rights of injured workers, Malcolm has demonstrated his leadership and commitment to this cause. Furthermore, he founded HeadsUp! SC, a non-profit organization aimed at preventing brain injuries in young athletes. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Workers Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG), a national entity dedicated to safeguarding workers' rights across the United States.

In addition to his leadership roles, Malcolm has contributed to various charitable boards and legal committees, including the Brain Injury Association of South Carolina. His practice includes representing individuals injured due to others' negligence and advocating for workers before the SC Workers Compensation Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor. Malcolm has influenced numerous appellate decisions in both state and federal courts.
