Catherine D. Meehan

Catherine "Catie" Meehan combines her medical expertise with legal advocacy to support clients facing personal injury and workers' compensation challenges. Before becoming an attorney, Catie worked as a pediatric nurse at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) for three years. This experience, along with her status as a licensed RN, provides her with a deep understanding of medical complexities and empathy for her clients' situations.

Clients value Catie's straightforward communication style and her ability to manage expectations realistically. She is dedicated to advocating for her clients, recognizing the significant impact that workers' compensation and personal injury cases can have on their lives and families. Catie assists clients in navigating issues such as securing medical treatment, obtaining weekly compensation checks, and accessing partial and total disability benefits. She is committed to ensuring her clients receive consistent workers' compensation payments and uninterrupted medical care.

Catie earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of Notre Dame before pursuing a B.S. in nursing at MUSC. Her transition from nursing to law was driven by a desire to help patients in a legal capacity. While attending law school, Catie was honored with the Founder's Award for Professionalism in Advocacy and served as the Student Works Editor of the Charleston Law Review.

In her scholarly work, Catie has published articles in the Charleston Law Review, addressing complex legal topics such as human tissue property rights and NFL concussion litigation. Her research proposed a victim relief fund to support former NFL players suffering from football-related neurological injuries.
