Lauren Acquaviva

Lauren Acquaviva is a committed attorney practicing in Charleston, South Carolina. Originally from New Jersey, she earned her B.S. in Social Work from Monmouth University in 2009. Lauren relocated to South Carolina to attend the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 2012. During her time in law school, she volunteered as a Guardian ad Litem in abuse and neglect cases, a role she continued until 2019.

In September 2012, Lauren began her legal career with the South Carolina Department of Revenue, focusing on litigating alcohol licensing and tax issues for six years. She transitioned to private practice in October 2018 with a Mount Pleasant law firm. By October 2019, Lauren launched The Acquaviva Law Firm, LLC, also known as Viva Law Firm, concentrating on alcohol licensing, state and local tax controversies, and family law, including DSS cases.

Lauren became a certified Guardian ad Litem in February 2019, enabling her to assist in private family court matters. Over time, Viva Law Firm has honed its services to deliver focused and efficient legal solutions. Lauren now primarily addresses alcohol licensing and amicable family law matters.

At Viva Law Firm, Lauren assists businesses in the food and beverage sector with obtaining and maintaining their alcohol licenses, ensuring their operations can flourish. Additionally, she supports Charleston's women in resolving family law issues peacefully and efficiently, allowing them to concentrate on living fulfilling lives.
