Melinda Queen Taylor was raised in the Columbia, South Carolina area, where she continues to live and work. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina and graduated cum laude from Charlotte School of Law. During her time in law school, she was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Crown and received a merit scholarship.
