Amy Lawrence

Amy Lawrence, a distinguished Criminal Defense attorney in Conway, South Carolina, has gained recognition through appearances on MTV's Teen Mom 2 and the Dr. Phil Show as a subject matter expert. Her insights are regularly featured on local television and radio stations in the Myrtle Beach region.

Amy earned her B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, graduating cum laude. During her time at UNC, she led as president of the College Republicans, contributed as a published writer in The Coraddi, and served on the advisory board for the English Society.

Following her undergraduate studies, Ms. Lawrence attended the Appalachian School of Law where she pursued her Juris Doctorate. She had the opportunity to study Advanced Torts at the prestigious Oxford University in England. Throughout law school, Amy was actively involved in the Student Bar Association, advised the ASL Association of Women in Law, presided over the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and volunteered with local non-profits. Her dedication earned her several awards, including The Community Service Award, AWIL’s Leadership of Tomorrow Award, and the L. Anthony Sutin Award for Public Interest Work.

Ms. Lawrence gained substantial experience during her clerkship with the Horry County 15th District Solicitor’s Office, where she developed a profound understanding of the Horry County Justice system.

Admitted to practice in all South Carolina Courts, Amy is also a Certified Guardian ad Litem for Family Law Cases. She has successfully represented high-profile criminal cases and secured numerous personal injury settlements. Recognized among the top 40 under 40 lawyers in South Carolina and the Top 100 lawyers in the state by the National Trial Lawyers, Amy also contributes as a Board Member to the Appalachian School of Law Alumni Association.
