Byron P David

Byron P. David is a seasoned attorney who graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science, earned cum laude from the same institution. Before pursuing a legal career, Byron was the captain of a deep-sea fishing boat along the Carolina coast. He and his wife reside in Horry County, where they actively contribute to the community, including founding the Davids' Diabetes Scholarship for local juvenile diabetics attending college.

Byron's bar admissions include South Carolina, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. His professional affiliations reflect his commitment to the legal field, including memberships in the South Carolina Bar Association, the Horry County Bar Association, and several committees such as the Law Related Education Committee and the Practice and Procedure Committee of the SC Bar.

He is recognized by The National Advocates as a Top 40 Under 40 attorney and has been a finalist for The Horry Independent’s Readers’ Choice Award for Best Attorney multiple times. Byron has also served as President of the Conway Kiwanis Club and has been involved with the Conway Chamber of Commerce and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Byron's community involvement extends to the United Way of Horry County and serving as a past board member of the Conway Zoning Board of Appeals and the Horry County Schools Advisory Board. He is also a past deacon at the First Baptist Church. In addition to his legal practice, Byron regularly appears on WMBF News' "Legal Access." His publications include "Expert Witness Fees: What is Reasonable?" and he has been a speaker at seminars such as the 2014 Auto Torts Seminar in Atlanta.

Byron's achievements include receiving the CALI Award in Discovery Practice and being recognized as an Eagle Scout. He is also a United States Coast Guard Certified Captain.
